Christmas Tour is finally over!

A new tricycle from Santa OH MY! The girls had a GREAT Christmas and Brylee was hilarious. She said OHHHH to every gift even when she got socks. It was precious more pics to come. We love sending the holidays with our family but boy are we POOPED!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Saturday, December 20, 2008

Well we are finally getting back to normal in the Reese household. I am still on my meds and using the inhalers regularly. Brylee is on Robitussin but the cough is calming and she doesn't seem to be as congested. She has a humidifier on her room now so hopefully that will help. We are ready to start our Christmas tour (as Robyn calls it) beginning tomorrow with Grandma, Granddaddy, Eric, Jennifer, and Molly! Then off to the Reese dinner the 23rd, the Barton dinner the 24th, then Nanny and Papa's, and Mama Rhonda's on the 25th! I am super excited and I know the girls are as well. Thanks for all the prayers, I was very lucky I did not end up in the hospital. We hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Here are a few pictures of my girls hanging out. Brylee by the tree before any presents but Kaegan's b-day present were under there. Then later taking off everyones bow that she could reach and destroying it.
Then we have Emily lounging on the Dora couch with Lilley after we painted stockings while watching The Dark Knight.

Out til Monday

I went back for my recheck today and can return to work Monday if I am better. Dr. says my lungs sound much better, but I was still very pale, shaky, and having trouble breathing. I was given a steroid pack to take through next week but she does think that I will be good to go for Christmas. She thinks I pulled a muscle on my left side from coughing so hard. The steroids should help with that too!

Brylee came home last night but I had to get her Papa to come get her early this morning. I was just having a hard time lifting her and was very short of breath. She is a little congested but nothing that we think she needs to go to the Dr. for. She is taking some Robitussin (per the Dr.) and it seems to be helping.

Please continue to pray for us.

Mama is a little under the weather so Papa and Uncle Chance have had their hands full today. Aunt Lindy kept Brylee a little yesterday to give Mama some rest and I think they both had a ball. Brian has been a real trooper helping to care for us all. I am married to the most fabulous man in the world.

I hate not feeling 100% especially when it means not being able to do the normal everyday things like hold Brylee, cook dinner, and play. Not to mention it is this close to the holidays.

Gotta get some rest so I can be 100% ASAP!

BACK TO THE DR.

Well, I was having a very hard time breathing yesterday and was doing a lot of wheezing so I had to go back to the Dr. They did a chest X-Ray on me and said that there was no pneumonia in my lungs YAY! They gave me a 2nd inhaler to use with the original one. They also gave me a stronger cough medicine and told me not to use that original one. I also have some cough tablets that Walgreens is holding for me in case this doesn't work.

Brian is feeling a little better but the Taiter woke up congested this morning so Mama is planning to give her some meds. We will see how she does today and if no improvement we will be taking her to the Dr. as well. Keep us in your prayers.

I also want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Helen and Rowena who came all the way over yesterday with some homemade chicken noodle soup, breads, and cookies. It was soooooo YUMMY! I have already had several cookies this morning and and considering chicken noodle soup for breakfast.
Now to some funny business...

We have to keep the hamster play pen around the Christmas tree so that Laney and Lilley stay out of the gifts. Well last night Brian says "Laney"! She hopped the fence and was beginning her investigation to find her present. We had to snap a pic to sent to Emily who thought it was so funny. I tried to tell Laney that her presents were on the table because I knew she would try to find them. But once she knew she was caught she had this sad little "I'm so innocent face" yeah right!

Here is the picture that I got of Brylee Taite this week, the only time I have seen my little one since Monday. Gosh I miss her so very much! She has taken a liking to her Papa's hats. So if you see a pink ball cap Brylee Taite needs one.

I also wanted to share a picture of the Christmas shirts I made for Brylee, Emily, and Molly to wear Christmas. I hope they like them, cause I had a lot of fun making them. My mom, Lindy, and I used to make things like this when I was little so I hope to make this a tradition that my girls and I can share. Can't wait to see them on the girls.

Love you all and hope to see you soon!

Out Of Work And Time On My Hands

Well I am officially out of work until Thursday per Dr. 's orders. I have not been feeling well for about two weeks now. I have been transitioning in to a new position at work and of course I get sick when that lady I have been training to back up heads off to her own 2 week training classes in Wisconsin. So needless to say my absence the last two weeks were out of the question. Well I got even worse over the weekend and had no choice but to go to the Dr. yesterday. I hate missing work and hate going to the Dr. even more. But I had no other choice when Brylee woke up with a little cough yesterday morning.

I went to the Dr. at 10:45 and was told that I have a very bad case of a virus going around and had I waited another week I would have been hospitalized with either bronchitis or pneumonia. I was like WOW, I knew I had been feeling bad but I never imagined that. He informed me that I was highly contagious and needed to leave Brylee with Mama if possible until I was able to return to work. THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST HORRIBLE THING HE COULD HAVE TOLD ME! But if it keeps her well, we will do what we need to do.

I was given a shot in the booty, Z-Pack, cough syrup with codine, and an inhalor. It all started with little sinus congestion and a cough that excalated to the feeling of being rammed by several semi's on both sides of my body and a continuous cough that never stopped and now I am finding it hard to breath. So I am planning plenty of rest and very litte talking. (The little talking part, I am sure Brian would like to see stay on long after I am back to my old self.) Brian is having some sinus issues as well but hopefully we can get his taken care of well before it reaches this point. Please keep us all in your prayers!

I have several pics from several events that have taken place over the last month. Talk to you all soon! Gotta get better before Christmas!

Trick or Treat

The girls had a blast this Halloween. We had a ZOMBIE DR. & LIL' PUMPKIN!

Brylee Taite had a ball. I took a half day and we headed off to Aunt Lindy's school and Brylee wasn't to sure what to make of them all. Then we headed to visit Aunt Neesie, Mama Rhonda, Daddy Leighton, Aunt Kim before we came home and took a little nap while waiting for Big Sister to get out of school. Helen and Emily joined us trick or treating this year which was a total BLAST! We loved it, we were so glad that they were able to come along and help us celebrate Brylee's first Halloween trick or treating adventure.

We got Brylee home around seven and Helen and Emily headed off to do some more trick or treating. Brylee had dinner and a bath and just cried and cried until we put her costume back on her. We ended up getting home around 9:30 and she was pooped!

Thanks to all who made this Halloween so much fun and we hate we didn't make it around to everyone but there just aren't enough hours in the day sometimes. We love you all and hope you had as much fun as we did.

My Girls

Brylee Taite's face is looking so much better she still has a little ways to go, but we have been truly blessed. She has been loving a lot lately and squeezes her toy monkey and then kisses him all the time. Then she loves on us too! What an little angel we have. I am planning her 1st Birthday Party so stay tuned for the date.
Emily had a ball in the spiderweb over the weekend. Here are some pics of her and of the ATTACK! Her dog Cleo is in some of the pics because she stayed with us Saturday night so that Helen and Rowena could go to IL.

Here are some pics from Gatlinburg 2008!

Here is a pic of a pregnant seahorse from the Ripley's Aquarium and in case you did not know the mae seahorses have the babies! This was a once in a lifetime thing to see.
And CONGRATS to Rowena who is now a GREAT GRANDMA!!

Brylee Taite and Mommy's Fall

Well I know it has been awhile. We just got back from vacation in the Smokies and had an accident at the Bell Buckle Craft Fair on Saturday. We were just about to leave and walking to the church were we parked the car (this was the first time all day Brylee had been out of her stroller) and as we were walking along the crowded sidewalk in Bell Buckle my foot slipped off the edge of the walk and into a hole and the rest is just blurry. I landed on the concrete walk and thankfully Brylee landed in the grass. She is pretty scratched up and bruised and I have some bruising to my arms and knees. All in all it could have been much much worse. We were so blessed that there were no booths in that area and that she did not hit the concrete. She landed face down in the grass. We were very lucky to have great friend like Kayla and Kathy there who took us to a nurse at there church and she cleaned Brylee up a little but did recommend that we get her seen by the Dr. So, Jean at Dr. Barbara's office had always told me that if I needed her to page her and if she didn't respond, she even told me where she lived. So needless to say I made the call and she met us up there shortly after we got back home. Jean cleaned her up and said that it looked much worse than it really was. Her pupils and head were fine and the scrapes she said would heal with no scarring. She did tell us that it would look much worse today which it did. Her eye was completely swollen shut this morning but gradually opened up more and more throughout the day. She has been her usually playful smiley self all day. She does not like it when you get to close to it but will let you Dr. her up. I was so tore up yesterday I can only say that the good Lord was with us and I am so thankful that he was. Jean said that she will be back to herself in no time. She was so sweet to meet us up there and it means the world to us all. Please keep our little Taiter in your prayers and hopefully she will be healed up very soon. Her Daddy was going around the office saying ADRIENNE ADRIENNE like Rocky did in the movies ad now wants to go get her a grey jumpsuit to wear with a black toboggan and white towel to wrap around her like Rocky Balboa in the movie!
Brylee was so worried about her Mommy being upset that once she was all cleaned up she was patting me on the shoulder and hugging and kissing me to comfort me. What a little angel she is!

Toothy #2

We have toothy #2 coming in right beside toothy #1. Both little teeth are on the bottom and they are the front two. She is just tickled with her little teeth and she smiled and let me see them this morning. Then when Nanny arrived she was back on lock down. It is hilarious. I told her she did not have to show her toothies to any one but me! She just laughs.

She went to school today with Nanny to visit Aunt Lindy’s class. Mama said that every time someone would talk she would fake cough to get their attention. She is such a ham!

She had some mac-n-cheese and peas the other night for dinner.
We just heard from Emily and she is the PROUD winner of a rabbit! She won a rabbit tonight at the Franklin County Fair. She had to throw a ball in a cup while the cup floated in water and got it on the second try!!

9 Months Old!!

Well, we had our 9 month follow up yesterday. Brylee Taite is 17 lbs 8oz and 27.5 inches long. She is right in track with her development. She got one shot and while she was crying she sounded just like her Uncle E when he makes his Chewbacca sound. It was kinda funny to hear that because she never cries like that any other time. She was a real trooper and was fine in just a couple of minutes. Her next visit is Dec. 4th and she will be 1 year old! My little girl is growing so fast.

Guess I better start planning for her very 1st Birthday Party soon! I think it will be Backyardigan themed. She absolutely loves them. She gets so excited when she hears the intro song that she stops whatever she is doing and starts waving her hands in the air and talking along with them. She loves music in every form and has recently starting singing along with Pablo the Backyardigan. She listens to the CD in the car and has a little Pablo doll that goes with us and a singing Pablo for the floor. She loves them and can’t seem to get enough of them. It is precious.

Last night was her very first night to sleep without her Paci. She normally does not use it during the day, but likes to have it at nighttime. She did really well and only woke up twice wanting it. So say a little prayer that she continues like this.

Gramps is home and doing better. We sent some food over this morning for him to munch on. Pot roast, fried okra, beans, and cornbread. YUM YUM!

Have a great weekend! Love ya.

It's Been a While........

Well I know it has been a while, but we have been very busy keeping up with our little 9 month old. She is crawling and in to everything. She tries so hard to get away from us and get to the dog food bowl. Some days she just wants to put her hand in the water bowl and others she is ready to try out some dog food. Luckily we have gotten it away from her so far. She has banged her head on everything imaginable and is terrifying me. Here is her last little boo boo from the recliner at Mama’s. She was climbing up it and then appeared to be backing away when all of the sudden she just plowed right in to it. She just cried and cried.

Emily was with us this weekend and we went to watch Uncle Chance play football Friday night at Central. The girls really enjoyed the game and loved the band. We also went to the Chuck with Jen, Molly, Eric, and Grandma on Saturday. We all had a good time. Brylee decided to see how far back she could shove the crust down her throat and ended up gagging herself which about gave me a heart attack. So needless to say, she is no longer aloud to suck on the crust at the Chuck.

We headed to the park yesterday so Emily could ride her bike and Brylee could have a wagon ride. Emily was coming down the top of the hill on the nature trail and just barely missed two trees when her bike took an off road adventure. We can laugh about it now, but I tell you, I still don’t know how in the world she missed those trees.

My grandfather is in the hospital with kidney problems, so please keep him in your prayers. We headed up to see him after dropping Emily off. We visited with Gramps and Aunt Sherri for a little while and Aunt Sherri found it…

Brylee Taite Reese has her very first TOOTH!!!! YAY YAY – I am SOOOOOO excited! My little girl is growing up so fast. Who would have thought that a little tooth could become the highlight of your day! My girls are such a blessing!

We are also preparing for Lindy and Gregg’s wedding Sept. 27th and the first visit to hear the heartbeat on the 16th. Her life will be changed forever soon, and it is the best change in the world!

Please keep us in your prayers – Love Ya!

Spunkachewy

I wanted to start by letting you all know how Tiffany was doing. She has such a strong faith and seems to be doing as well as can be expected. She is surrounded by her family and friends and is truly blessed to have so many people there for her during her time of need. The service was the best I have ever been to by far, the preacher explained how Matthew was a precious gift sent from Heaven above. He went on to say that though we may have many questions as to the whys of a situation like this, but we should all feel blessed that we had the opportunity to have this precious gift no matter how short the time was. Because when God gives us a precious gift like a child, we are not promised a certain amount of time with that gift, but we should cherish it, make memories, and feel joyful for the time that we were able to share with such a wonderful blessing. I was very moved by the service as so many others were. It really makes you realize how short life is and how we should cherish each moment we have and all those that we are able to share it with. Please continue to pray for Tiffany and her family because I know I feel very blessed to have someone like her in my life and I am so thankful to know that I have a friend with such a wonderful faith around me.

We got Emily this weekend and as promised we went to Pet Smart to pick out a new hamster. Well Spunkachewy (aka Spunk) jumped right out towards Emily so we had to bring him home. She knew right away that he was the one! This little guy is nothing like Chewy Ricky Bobby, he is full of energy and is rarin' and ready to go. He is up all night and made himself right at home in the cage when he got here. Emily is so happy with him.

Now for the house update :(

We were putting the house on the market last Friday, but earlier in the week got the news of the Nissan buyout. Well, Brian went in to work and they were doing some layoffs and cutting back to one shift for the time being, as most of you know his company makes the frames for some of the Nissan vehicles. He is fine and will be heading to days on Monday, but the more we talked about it we decided now was probably not the best time to do anything. So we will plan to sit tight for a little while longer and see how things pan out.

AND NOW FOR SOME BIG NEWS...

LINDY AND GREGG ARE HAVING A BABY! That's right Emily and Brylee Taite will be getting a new little cousin in about 9 months!! We are all very excited. Lindy went to the Dr. today for confirmation and sure enough she is Prego. I am even more excited because she will be seeing Dr. Moore which is the Dr. that delivered Brylee Taite Reese!! She goes back to the Dr. in September so stay tuned for more updates. And please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they embark on this wonderful journey together.

SNEAKY SNEAKY

Funny Story!

This morning as I was getting ready and I left Brylee in her normal spot, her little mat in front of the TV with all her toys. I went and pulled the rollers out of my hair and walked back into the living room and she was no where to be found. She is not crawling yet so I knew she couldn’t have gotten too far. But Laney and Lilley were not acting out of the norm and usually when she goes somewhere they are right there with her. So I walked in the living room and said Brylee Taite Reese where are you?? I hear nothing; I walk a little farther and say Brylee… as I get just to the edge of the coffee table I find her under it! She was so proud of herself for hiding from me. It was just precious. She had scooted backwards under there and had her head popped out just waiting for me with all smiles. When I got her out and asked her what she was doing under the table she just laughed and started throwing her hands around. She thought it was the funniest thing. It was so precious!

Here is my little knuckle head on her Dora couch right beside the coffee table!

Photo Shoot

Most of you know my friend Robyn Pennington, well Robyn has developed an interest in photography and Brylee Taite was happy to help her with her 1st official photo shoot! I am happy to say that she did a WONDERFUL job and we look forward to many more photo shoots with Pennington Photography.

Robyn is just getting her feet wet with this, but if you ask me she has a knack for it. We are very impressed with the pictures and cannot wait to get the prints. So, if you are looking for someone to help you capture your special moments in a photo, let me know and Robyn may be able to help. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. I know Robyn would love to hear your comments.
