HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween. We cut out travels short Saturday night because Brylee got a little to hot in her Giraffe costume and got sick or as she calls it burped on her giraffe and boots. She was good to go after that but was running a little fever so we made sure Emily had plenty of candy visited a few more peeps and headed to Grandmas. By the time we made it there she was cooled off and sporting her skeleton PJ's. Emily transformed into a devil for the trick or treating night. And I must say she was was one cute devil. The girls had a really good time and came home with a ton of candy.

We also got 2 kittens on Sunday, so meet the newest members of the Reese Family - Mr. Darcy & Mr. Bingley.

Love to All! Have a GREAT week!

New House!

We are moved in and loving the country life. We are having a blast out here and have lots of projects left to do. The shed is almost complete and we are moving from one thing to another. We need to get some gravel for the driveway and some new linoleum in the kitchen and bathrooms. So if you know anyone let me know. We are looking for some of the "remnant" (leftover stuff from another job)linoleum for the bathrooms because it is really cheap. We finished the rock garden and are about to start on the front of the house. Lots to do but we are loving every minute of it! The girls and I mean all four of them are happier than ever.

WAY TO GO KATEY LEIGH DARNELL! 3rd runner up at the Fair Pageant tonight. Pics to come. (I forgot my camera so Neesie will have to give me some.)

We are less than a week away from the closing so I will post a pic of the house for Aunt Patsy. I haven't done it yet because I was so terrified I might jinx it. We are just about finished with the painting and then we have to fix the deck and fence in the yard. After that we should be ready to MOVE IN!
Anyone interested in helping, give us a call. We will supply pizza, beer, and if it is way hot outside we will head over to the pool for a cool down!

Mama and Brian painted Emily's room today and it is gorgeous. One more coat for Brylee's room (remind me to never agree to a yellow room again, we are on our 3rd coat!) a small area in the hallway and laundry room and we should be good. The appliances were delivered Friday and need to be installed but they look great. We love them. We are adding a second set of steps to the deck and fencing in the backyard. We eventually want to extend the deck but that will have to wait a bit. We plan to line the back yard with trees so that we have all the privacy we want. It is sooooo quiet and peaceful out there and it just feels like home to me. We are planning to get the girls a tire swing for the tree out front. We are all super excited, but not looking forward to packing. Which by the way I guess I should go do some of since Brylee is asleep. More updates to come. Love to All!

Well, we are getting ready for the move!!! Brian, me, and Mama painted the kitchen, Brylee's room, and our bedroom this weekend in the new house and we have lots of painting left to do before we move. The mortgage papers are signed and everything looks great according to everyone there. We are set to close July 24th and will need to be out of our house by Aug. 1st. We are very excited.

Gramps was admitted to the hospital on Friday. He had one (possibly two) mini strokes. He has been moved to the Lynchburg Nursing Home as of today. He seems to be in good spirits so hopefully he will be back home soon. Thanks for all the prayers, please keep'em coming.

We had a great 4th, Brylee loved the firecrackers. We missed Robyn, Kerry, and Anna Claire this year at the pool and cookout. AC has been running some very high fevers and went to the Dr. today and has the viral case of strep throat. Poor Lil' girl! I know her Mommy is probably worn out as well. Please remember them in your prayers also.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!

Love You All!

SHEWWWW... What a weekend!

We have had a FUN weekend! We got Emily early on Friday and all headed over the the 'Boro for Brylee's 18 month checkup. She got three shots and checked out well. The Dr. said she was a petite little girl but was very healthy and smart. She weighs about 21lbs and is 30.5 inches long.

We have played with kittens at Nanny and Papa's, went to church, and got tattoo's. We swam at the pool and both girls jumped off the diving board! Emily got a new fish named Al and Brylee and Daddy watched the race together. Here are a few pics of the weekend.

We have contract on the house and are scheduled to close July 22nd. Please keep us in your prayers. Love to all!

BUSY...

We have been really busy but I plan to update more later. Brylee Taite has several molars coming in and we have not been getting much sleep. Tonight she hit her head on the faucet in the bathtub and is running a low grade fever. We kept her up as long as we could and gave her some Tylenol and she crashed. Bless her little heart! We have almost finished painting the house, I say we but really it has been all Brian. All he lacks is the hallway and dining room.

Emily is getting ready to do a report on Mark Twain and she has to dress up like him on the 15th and present an oral report. She is doing a GREAT job so far and seems excited about what she has learned about him. They had to pick a famous person to write about and once she found out that he was the writer of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (which she has read by the way) she was sold on him.

I finally got some good meds for the sinusitis and am getting better (6 weeks later).

We planted a garden and it is growing like crazy. Brylee says grow garden grow then she blows it. So I think she thinks her garden blows and not grows! :) Gotta Love Her!

We are planning to attend Aunt Patsy's church Sunday and then hopefully we will soon find a church home. Right now we have been going to First Baptist and Calvary, but we still haven't found the place that feels right. Please remember us in yours prayers and also pray that we find the place we are meant to be. Any church suggestions would be appreciated and we will consider it.

P.S. Laney Belle will celebrate her 5th B-day tomorrow. Feel free to send gifts or cards with $$! :)

Love To All!

Pee Pee in the Potty!

Yep, you guessed it Brylee Taite went pee pee in the potty all by herself today. This is how it started then we took her diaper off and she used her potty! She got up did a little shake of the hips and said "Good Girl"! It was priceless!

OK so I typed this up yesterday and forgot to post it...

OH MY GOODNESS! So last night Brylee and I are hanging out in the floor talking to Aunt Lindy on the phone when all of the sudden ---------------NOTHING------------------ the phone just shuts off and we cannot get it back on. PANIC TIME! I went to the bedroom and stuck it on the charger (even though it had a full charge, I thought this may help). Still nothing, many, many, many failed attempts later Brian and I decide I was going to have to take it to Verizon because this time it is not coming back on. So I headed up there. I explained to them what happened and then I remembered that the night before it had done the same thing and magically it came back on and I had 20+ text messages starting at 7:30am all through 9:45pm that I had not received. That’s right I went an entire day without even realizing I hadn’t received one single text. (That should tell you how crazy my week has been)

They proceed to tell me that there is nothing they can do; my pics and videos are all gone even my contacts. ALL GONE – the entire first year of Brylee’s life GONE! I was mortified. Thankfully I send everything to my email most of the time so I still had them somewhere. I just never got around to saving them to my memory card. **Lesson Learned**

I went back in knowing that there had to be something someone could do because I could not live without my contact list. I would never get those numbers back and programmed in. Well needless to say an hour later, one brand new battery, 30 minutes of charging and Susan had all my contacts backed up on my phone. *If you have not done this you can backup all your contacts on your phone for FREE and then if this happens to you, you will lose everything else but not your contacts* She managed to get all my pics and videos saved to the memory card I had brought in with me so after all that I ended up with everything I had and a new phone. They said that normally when they do that (the phone shutting off) they never come back on. I have to admit I was saying A LOT of prayers because I hated the thought of losing all those videos. So thanks to the good Lord and Susan’s persistence the outcome was a plus. I asked her what could have possible caused this and when she told me I was a little shocked. She said that normally it was caused by a virus send in a FWD message. She said that if you delete them right away you should be OK but by letting them sit in your inbox/sent mail they just eat away at your phone. So I have to ask that everyone keep me off the forwarded texts you send. I do not want to go through that again.

When I came back home Brylee was walking around in one of my Bemis shirts. Apparently the only way she was satisfied was when Brian let her put it on and walk around wearing it. It was too cute.

Love you all! And remember no forwards!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We went for our follow up with Dr. Castleberry in Murfreesboro on Friday. I have been feeling very uncomfortable when going to Dr. Barbara over the last few months and wanted to see how Brylee and I felt about a different pediatrician. We normally have a huge cyring spell and it takes a while to get Brylee calmed when visiting the Dr., she was to a point that she would cry when she heard their footsteps approach. Now don't get me wrong they have always cared for Brylee and we especially LOVE Jean with all our heart, but unfortunatley we can't always be seen by her.

So back to the follow up... Dr. Castleberry was AMAZING. She introduced Brylee to each instrument before she did anything and made us both feel so calm. There was no being told to hold her down and struggle with her while her face was beat red. She made it fun for her and Brylee let her check her ears (she told her she needed to find the birdie in her ear and when she would start to look she would make chirping noises and Brylee's eyes would light up at the thought of a birdie in her ear.) She answered all my questions and told me that we had nothing to worry about she was just fine and just a little on the petite side but nothing that should be a concern. She gave us some tips on the teeth grinding and bedtime routine. She said that Brylee was able to do things like point out her ears, eyes, nose, and mouth that were 18 month old skills and that was very impressive at her age. So that made me happy. They never do things like that at Dr. Barbara's. Sometimes I feel like they are to rushed and not very informative. After Dr. Castleberry was finished Brylee followed her out of the room. This NEVER happens, we usually spend 10 minutes trying to calm her just to get her to the car. Where she normally falls asleep from crying so hard.

So needless to say as much as we hate to leave Jean and have an out of town Dr., we requested to have ALL her records transferred ASAP. We go back June 5th for her 18 mth checkup as long as she is well between now and then. Thanks for the prayers!

I would also like to ask that you keep two gentlemen that were injured yesterday at Bemis due to a press explosion in your prayers. Both were lifeflighted to Vanderbilt. Please pray for them and their families as well as a special thank you prayer to the guys that helped to rescue them and get them to safety.

Love YA!

Back 2 Work

Well I will be heading back to work tomorrow after being off since Tuesday. Brylee seems to be feeling a little better but she is eating more than she needs to so she threw up twice today. Mommy has learned that she is going to have to be more disciplined and only give her the basics until she is well. Unfortunately my heart just breaks to think that she is hungry when she says more more more and then starts to cry and says gone gone. :( It is terrible, but I know it is for the best. Please continue to pray for our beautiful little girl, we aren't out of the woods yet.

Update

She slept through the night and kept everything down. She woke up today and had some toast and bananas and more pedialyte. Then took about a 2 hour nap woke up saying snack snack snack so I made her a plain baked potato, bananas, and more pedialyte. She has kept everything down today and seems to feel a little better. She is still weak and you can see in hers eyes that she is not herself just yet, but we are getting there. Please continue to pray for us.

Emily went to school today and Mama is feeling better. Brian and I have our moments, but we have been very busy so I am sure lack of rest has not helped us get better any quicker. But we are all hanging in there. Thanks for checking up on us.

Love Ya!

Dr. Update

We just got back from the Dr. She was throwing up this afternoon and would not drink anything. She still has a stomach virus and we have to giver her dramamine every six hours and administer fluids every 1.5 hours. We have to call Dr. Barbara at 9pm and give her an update. If she is not drinking her fluids, we may end up back at the hospital. Please keep her in your prayers as well as the rest of the family.

Thanks and Love You All!

Stomach Virus... BEWARE IT IS GOING AROUND!

Hello All! Thanks for the many prayers that have been said over the last few days. Brylee woke up Tuesday morning throwing up and could not keep anything down. After a few hours at the office, Dr. Barbara decided to admit my girl into the hospital. She said this was a vicious cycle and she was not taking any chances. Brylee was already beginning to dehydrate. She admitted Brylee and three other children on Tuesday for fluids and observation.
We got to the hospital a little after noon and after one attempt the IV was in and Brylee jerked her arm so two more attempts were made and the IV was in and the fluids began. She was pretty lifeless the entire hospital stay but woke up around 8pm Tuesday and drank her Pedialyte and then had some Jell-o and iced lemonade Wednesday morning. She ran a low grade fever throughout the night, but she is a real trooper. Mama and I stayed with her, I was still a little sick so I was very lucky to have Mama with us.

Dr. Barbara came in and Wednesday around noon and told us we could go home. She is on a very bland diet and lots of fluids for the next few days. We got home and she played and played it was like seeing a totally different child than the one we had watched over the last day or so. She is eating well and still drinking her fluids. She has diarrhea pretty badly now, but she thinks it is very funny and just says SHEW SHEW SHEW!

We were worried that Molly may have it, but luckily she did not get to that point and was feeling better yesterday. Brian ended up getting sick Wednesday morning and then Mama called last night and she has it too. And to top it all off Emily called last night and said her tummy was a ticking time bomb and she missed school today. So please continue to keep us in your prayers and hopefully this mess will leave us alone soon.
Back from the Hospital!
