Pee Pee in the Potty!

Yep, you guessed it Brylee Taite went pee pee in the potty all by herself today. This is how it started then we took her diaper off and she used her potty! She got up did a little shake of the hips and said "Good Girl"! It was priceless!

OK so I typed this up yesterday and forgot to post it...

OH MY GOODNESS! So last night Brylee and I are hanging out in the floor talking to Aunt Lindy on the phone when all of the sudden ---------------NOTHING------------------ the phone just shuts off and we cannot get it back on. PANIC TIME! I went to the bedroom and stuck it on the charger (even though it had a full charge, I thought this may help). Still nothing, many, many, many failed attempts later Brian and I decide I was going to have to take it to Verizon because this time it is not coming back on. So I headed up there. I explained to them what happened and then I remembered that the night before it had done the same thing and magically it came back on and I had 20+ text messages starting at 7:30am all through 9:45pm that I had not received. That’s right I went an entire day without even realizing I hadn’t received one single text. (That should tell you how crazy my week has been)

They proceed to tell me that there is nothing they can do; my pics and videos are all gone even my contacts. ALL GONE – the entire first year of Brylee’s life GONE! I was mortified. Thankfully I send everything to my email most of the time so I still had them somewhere. I just never got around to saving them to my memory card. **Lesson Learned**

I went back in knowing that there had to be something someone could do because I could not live without my contact list. I would never get those numbers back and programmed in. Well needless to say an hour later, one brand new battery, 30 minutes of charging and Susan had all my contacts backed up on my phone. *If you have not done this you can backup all your contacts on your phone for FREE and then if this happens to you, you will lose everything else but not your contacts* She managed to get all my pics and videos saved to the memory card I had brought in with me so after all that I ended up with everything I had and a new phone. They said that normally when they do that (the phone shutting off) they never come back on. I have to admit I was saying A LOT of prayers because I hated the thought of losing all those videos. So thanks to the good Lord and Susan’s persistence the outcome was a plus. I asked her what could have possible caused this and when she told me I was a little shocked. She said that normally it was caused by a virus send in a FWD message. She said that if you delete them right away you should be OK but by letting them sit in your inbox/sent mail they just eat away at your phone. So I have to ask that everyone keep me off the forwarded texts you send. I do not want to go through that again.

When I came back home Brylee was walking around in one of my Bemis shirts. Apparently the only way she was satisfied was when Brian let her put it on and walk around wearing it. It was too cute.

Love you all! And remember no forwards!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We went for our follow up with Dr. Castleberry in Murfreesboro on Friday. I have been feeling very uncomfortable when going to Dr. Barbara over the last few months and wanted to see how Brylee and I felt about a different pediatrician. We normally have a huge cyring spell and it takes a while to get Brylee calmed when visiting the Dr., she was to a point that she would cry when she heard their footsteps approach. Now don't get me wrong they have always cared for Brylee and we especially LOVE Jean with all our heart, but unfortunatley we can't always be seen by her.

So back to the follow up... Dr. Castleberry was AMAZING. She introduced Brylee to each instrument before she did anything and made us both feel so calm. There was no being told to hold her down and struggle with her while her face was beat red. She made it fun for her and Brylee let her check her ears (she told her she needed to find the birdie in her ear and when she would start to look she would make chirping noises and Brylee's eyes would light up at the thought of a birdie in her ear.) She answered all my questions and told me that we had nothing to worry about she was just fine and just a little on the petite side but nothing that should be a concern. She gave us some tips on the teeth grinding and bedtime routine. She said that Brylee was able to do things like point out her ears, eyes, nose, and mouth that were 18 month old skills and that was very impressive at her age. So that made me happy. They never do things like that at Dr. Barbara's. Sometimes I feel like they are to rushed and not very informative. After Dr. Castleberry was finished Brylee followed her out of the room. This NEVER happens, we usually spend 10 minutes trying to calm her just to get her to the car. Where she normally falls asleep from crying so hard.

So needless to say as much as we hate to leave Jean and have an out of town Dr., we requested to have ALL her records transferred ASAP. We go back June 5th for her 18 mth checkup as long as she is well between now and then. Thanks for the prayers!

I would also like to ask that you keep two gentlemen that were injured yesterday at Bemis due to a press explosion in your prayers. Both were lifeflighted to Vanderbilt. Please pray for them and their families as well as a special thank you prayer to the guys that helped to rescue them and get them to safety.

Love YA!

Back 2 Work

Well I will be heading back to work tomorrow after being off since Tuesday. Brylee seems to be feeling a little better but she is eating more than she needs to so she threw up twice today. Mommy has learned that she is going to have to be more disciplined and only give her the basics until she is well. Unfortunately my heart just breaks to think that she is hungry when she says more more more and then starts to cry and says gone gone. :( It is terrible, but I know it is for the best. Please continue to pray for our beautiful little girl, we aren't out of the woods yet.
