Spunkachewy

I wanted to start by letting you all know how Tiffany was doing. She has such a strong faith and seems to be doing as well as can be expected. She is surrounded by her family and friends and is truly blessed to have so many people there for her during her time of need. The service was the best I have ever been to by far, the preacher explained how Matthew was a precious gift sent from Heaven above. He went on to say that though we may have many questions as to the whys of a situation like this, but we should all feel blessed that we had the opportunity to have this precious gift no matter how short the time was. Because when God gives us a precious gift like a child, we are not promised a certain amount of time with that gift, but we should cherish it, make memories, and feel joyful for the time that we were able to share with such a wonderful blessing. I was very moved by the service as so many others were. It really makes you realize how short life is and how we should cherish each moment we have and all those that we are able to share it with. Please continue to pray for Tiffany and her family because I know I feel very blessed to have someone like her in my life and I am so thankful to know that I have a friend with such a wonderful faith around me.

We got Emily this weekend and as promised we went to Pet Smart to pick out a new hamster. Well Spunkachewy (aka Spunk) jumped right out towards Emily so we had to bring him home. She knew right away that he was the one! This little guy is nothing like Chewy Ricky Bobby, he is full of energy and is rarin' and ready to go. He is up all night and made himself right at home in the cage when he got here. Emily is so happy with him.

Now for the house update :(

We were putting the house on the market last Friday, but earlier in the week got the news of the Nissan buyout. Well, Brian went in to work and they were doing some layoffs and cutting back to one shift for the time being, as most of you know his company makes the frames for some of the Nissan vehicles. He is fine and will be heading to days on Monday, but the more we talked about it we decided now was probably not the best time to do anything. So we will plan to sit tight for a little while longer and see how things pan out.

AND NOW FOR SOME BIG NEWS...

LINDY AND GREGG ARE HAVING A BABY! That's right Emily and Brylee Taite will be getting a new little cousin in about 9 months!! We are all very excited. Lindy went to the Dr. today for confirmation and sure enough she is Prego. I am even more excited because she will be seeing Dr. Moore which is the Dr. that delivered Brylee Taite Reese!! She goes back to the Dr. in September so stay tuned for more updates. And please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they embark on this wonderful journey together.

SNEAKY SNEAKY

Funny Story!

This morning as I was getting ready and I left Brylee in her normal spot, her little mat in front of the TV with all her toys. I went and pulled the rollers out of my hair and walked back into the living room and she was no where to be found. She is not crawling yet so I knew she couldn’t have gotten too far. But Laney and Lilley were not acting out of the norm and usually when she goes somewhere they are right there with her. So I walked in the living room and said Brylee Taite Reese where are you?? I hear nothing; I walk a little farther and say Brylee… as I get just to the edge of the coffee table I find her under it! She was so proud of herself for hiding from me. It was just precious. She had scooted backwards under there and had her head popped out just waiting for me with all smiles. When I got her out and asked her what she was doing under the table she just laughed and started throwing her hands around. She thought it was the funniest thing. It was so precious!

Here is my little knuckle head on her Dora couch right beside the coffee table!

Photo Shoot

Most of you know my friend Robyn Pennington, well Robyn has developed an interest in photography and Brylee Taite was happy to help her with her 1st official photo shoot! I am happy to say that she did a WONDERFUL job and we look forward to many more photo shoots with Pennington Photography.

Robyn is just getting her feet wet with this, but if you ask me she has a knack for it. We are very impressed with the pictures and cannot wait to get the prints. So, if you are looking for someone to help you capture your special moments in a photo, let me know and Robyn may be able to help. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. I know Robyn would love to hear your comments.

Happenings!

Well, I would like to start by saying that we had a loss in the Reese Family over the weekend. Our dear little hamster Chewbacca (Chewy) Ricky Bobby Reese passed away. We are all very saddened by the loss and plan to get another little hamster next weekend when Emily returns. She has decided to name him Chewy II after her first little hamster. Chewy Ricky Bobby had a long life of two years and was a cute little friend that we all grew to love a great deal. It was a heartbreaking Friday night to see Emily cry and I must say a special THANK YOU to Helen for talking to Emily when we were all so upset. We had a burial service out at Micky and Jill’s and he was laid to rest next to Morgan (their dog). The ceremony was officiated via cell phone by Uncle E, whom we would also like to thank as well as Grandma and Granddaddy for allowing him to be buried at such a beautiful place. I know that it meant a great deal to all of us that you were all there for Emily and we appreciate you so much.

The yard sale was a success. We still have a lot of items from the sale including baby clothes, so if you know anyone that may like to come look, let me know. We are preparing the house to be put on the market and there is a lot still to be done. We will be cleaning up all the flowerbeds and pressure washing the house in the next few weeks as well as packing up all items that are not used frequently. Who knows, we may even have to have another yard sale once we find all the hidden treasures in there.

Brylee Taite has learned to pat-a-cake and gives high fives. She is learning how to blow kisses now, but she has not gotten very far with that one. She thinks it is hilarious when you blow kisses to her though. She is successfully driving Emily nuts these days. She is loud and interrupts her when she is talking or watching TV. I have tried to explain to Emily that this is something she will have to get used to because that is something sisters do. I told her that Lindy still gets on my nerves! J But we all know she would do anything for her if it came down to it.

Emily made quiet a bit of $$ from the yard sale by selling her old toys and was able to buy a new Digimon Nintendo DS game. Unfortunately she left her DS at home and had to wait to play it. I can’t wait to hear if she liked it or not. I have lots of pictures to upload, but when I get home and get settled I am pooped! But I will try to make myself add more soon. In the meantime keep us in your prayers as we continue our house hunt.

And if you know anyone that may be interested a new home, send them our way!

Brylee in the big bathtub!

My child is now infatuated with the kid in the silver circle in the bath tub. She butt scoots up to the silver circle and just laughs and talks to the child in there and has no clue that it is her. When I put my head down there and she can see us both in the circle she is amazed!! I will post a video this weekend when Daddy is home and I can capture her bath time fun.
