Update

She slept through the night and kept everything down. She woke up today and had some toast and bananas and more pedialyte. Then took about a 2 hour nap woke up saying snack snack snack so I made her a plain baked potato, bananas, and more pedialyte. She has kept everything down today and seems to feel a little better. She is still weak and you can see in hers eyes that she is not herself just yet, but we are getting there. Please continue to pray for us.

Emily went to school today and Mama is feeling better. Brian and I have our moments, but we have been very busy so I am sure lack of rest has not helped us get better any quicker. But we are all hanging in there. Thanks for checking up on us.

Love Ya!

Dr. Update

We just got back from the Dr. She was throwing up this afternoon and would not drink anything. She still has a stomach virus and we have to giver her dramamine every six hours and administer fluids every 1.5 hours. We have to call Dr. Barbara at 9pm and give her an update. If she is not drinking her fluids, we may end up back at the hospital. Please keep her in your prayers as well as the rest of the family.

Thanks and Love You All!

Stomach Virus... BEWARE IT IS GOING AROUND!

Hello All! Thanks for the many prayers that have been said over the last few days. Brylee woke up Tuesday morning throwing up and could not keep anything down. After a few hours at the office, Dr. Barbara decided to admit my girl into the hospital. She said this was a vicious cycle and she was not taking any chances. Brylee was already beginning to dehydrate. She admitted Brylee and three other children on Tuesday for fluids and observation.
We got to the hospital a little after noon and after one attempt the IV was in and Brylee jerked her arm so two more attempts were made and the IV was in and the fluids began. She was pretty lifeless the entire hospital stay but woke up around 8pm Tuesday and drank her Pedialyte and then had some Jell-o and iced lemonade Wednesday morning. She ran a low grade fever throughout the night, but she is a real trooper. Mama and I stayed with her, I was still a little sick so I was very lucky to have Mama with us.

Dr. Barbara came in and Wednesday around noon and told us we could go home. She is on a very bland diet and lots of fluids for the next few days. We got home and she played and played it was like seeing a totally different child than the one we had watched over the last day or so. She is eating well and still drinking her fluids. She has diarrhea pretty badly now, but she thinks it is very funny and just says SHEW SHEW SHEW!

We were worried that Molly may have it, but luckily she did not get to that point and was feeling better yesterday. Brian ended up getting sick Wednesday morning and then Mama called last night and she has it too. And to top it all off Emily called last night and said her tummy was a ticking time bomb and she missed school today. So please continue to keep us in your prayers and hopefully this mess will leave us alone soon.

Christmas Tour is finally over!

A new tricycle from Santa OH MY! The girls had a GREAT Christmas and Brylee was hilarious. She said OHHHH to every gift even when she got socks. It was precious more pics to come. We love sending the holidays with our family but boy are we POOPED!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Well we are finally getting back to normal in the Reese household. I am still on my meds and using the inhalers regularly. Brylee is on Robitussin but the cough is calming and she doesn't seem to be as congested. She has a humidifier on her room now so hopefully that will help. We are ready to start our Christmas tour (as Robyn calls it) beginning tomorrow with Grandma, Granddaddy, Eric, Jennifer, and Molly! Then off to the Reese dinner the 23rd, the Barton dinner the 24th, then Nanny and Papa's, and Mama Rhonda's on the 25th! I am super excited and I know the girls are as well. Thanks for all the prayers, I was very lucky I did not end up in the hospital. We hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Here are a few pictures of my girls hanging out. Brylee by the tree before any presents but Kaegan's b-day present were under there. Then later taking off everyones bow that she could reach and destroying it.
Then we have Emily lounging on the Dora couch with Lilley after we painted stockings while watching The Dark Knight.

Out til Monday

I went back for my recheck today and can return to work Monday if I am better. Dr. says my lungs sound much better, but I was still very pale, shaky, and having trouble breathing. I was given a steroid pack to take through next week but she does think that I will be good to go for Christmas. She thinks I pulled a muscle on my left side from coughing so hard. The steroids should help with that too!

Brylee came home last night but I had to get her Papa to come get her early this morning. I was just having a hard time lifting her and was very short of breath. She is a little congested but nothing that we think she needs to go to the Dr. for. She is taking some Robitussin (per the Dr.) and it seems to be helping.

Please continue to pray for us.

Mama is a little under the weather so Papa and Uncle Chance have had their hands full today. Aunt Lindy kept Brylee a little yesterday to give Mama some rest and I think they both had a ball. Brian has been a real trooper helping to care for us all. I am married to the most fabulous man in the world.

I hate not feeling 100% especially when it means not being able to do the normal everyday things like hold Brylee, cook dinner, and play. Not to mention it is this close to the holidays.

Gotta get some rest so I can be 100% ASAP!

BACK TO THE DR.

Well, I was having a very hard time breathing yesterday and was doing a lot of wheezing so I had to go back to the Dr. They did a chest X-Ray on me and said that there was no pneumonia in my lungs YAY! They gave me a 2nd inhaler to use with the original one. They also gave me a stronger cough medicine and told me not to use that original one. I also have some cough tablets that Walgreens is holding for me in case this doesn't work.

Brian is feeling a little better but the Taiter woke up congested this morning so Mama is planning to give her some meds. We will see how she does today and if no improvement we will be taking her to the Dr. as well. Keep us in your prayers.

I also want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Helen and Rowena who came all the way over yesterday with some homemade chicken noodle soup, breads, and cookies. It was soooooo YUMMY! I have already had several cookies this morning and and considering chicken noodle soup for breakfast.
Now to some funny business...

We have to keep the hamster play pen around the Christmas tree so that Laney and Lilley stay out of the gifts. Well last night Brian says "Laney"! She hopped the fence and was beginning her investigation to find her present. We had to snap a pic to sent to Emily who thought it was so funny. I tried to tell Laney that her presents were on the table because I knew she would try to find them. But once she knew she was caught she had this sad little "I'm so innocent face" yeah right!

Here is the picture that I got of Brylee Taite this week, the only time I have seen my little one since Monday. Gosh I miss her so very much! She has taken a liking to her Papa's hats. So if you see a pink ball cap Brylee Taite needs one.

I also wanted to share a picture of the Christmas shirts I made for Brylee, Emily, and Molly to wear Christmas. I hope they like them, cause I had a lot of fun making them. My mom, Lindy, and I used to make things like this when I was little so I hope to make this a tradition that my girls and I can share. Can't wait to see them on the girls.

Love you all and hope to see you soon!
