My Girls
Brylee Taite's face is looking so much better she still has a little ways to go, but we have been truly blessed. She has been loving a lot lately and squeezes her toy monkey and then kisses him all the time. Then she loves on us too! What an little angel we have. I am planning her 1st Birthday Party so stay tuned for the date.

Brylee Taite and Mommy's Fall

Well I know it has been awhile. We just got back from vacation in the Smokies and had an accident at the Bell Buckle Craft Fair on Saturday. We were just about to leave and walking to the church were we parked the car (this was the first time all day Brylee had been out of her stroller) and as we were walking along the crowded sidewalk in Bell Buckle my foot slipped off the edge of the walk and into a hole and the rest is just blurry. I landed on the concrete walk and thankfully Brylee landed in the grass. She is pretty scratched up and bruised and I have some bruising to my arms and knees. All in all it could have been much much worse. We were so blessed that there were no booths in that area and that she did not hit the concrete. She landed face down in the grass. We were very lucky to have great friend like Kayla and Kathy there who took us to a nurse at there church and she cleaned Brylee up a little but did recommend that we get her seen by the Dr. So, Jean at Dr. Barbara's office had always told me that if I needed her to page her and if she didn't respond, she even told me where she lived. So needless to say I made the call and she met us up there shortly after we got back home. Jean cleaned her up and said that it looked much worse than it really was. Her pupils and head were fine and the scrapes she said would heal with no scarring. She did tell us that it would look much worse today which it did. Her eye was completely swollen shut this morning but gradually opened up more and more throughout the day. She has been her usually playful smiley self all day. She does not like it when you get to close to it but will let you Dr. her up. I was so tore up yesterday I can only say that the good Lord was with us and I am so thankful that he was. Jean said that she will be back to herself in no time. She was so sweet to meet us up there and it means the world to us all. Please keep our little Taiter in your prayers and hopefully she will be healed up very soon. Her Daddy was going around the office saying ADRIENNE ADRIENNE like Rocky did in the movies ad now wants to go get her a grey jumpsuit to wear with a black toboggan and white towel to wrap around her like Rocky Balboa in the movie!
Brylee was so worried about her Mommy being upset that once she was all cleaned up she was patting me on the shoulder and hugging and kissing me to comfort me. What a little angel she is!

Toothy #2
We have toothy #2 coming in right beside toothy #1. Both little teeth are on the bottom and they are the front two. She is just tickled with her little teeth and she smiled and let me see them this morning. Then when Nanny arrived she was back on lock down. It is hilarious. I told her she did not have to show her toothies to any one but me! She just laughs.
She went to school today with Nanny to visit Aunt Lindy’s class. Mama said that every time someone would talk she would fake cough to get their attention. She is such a ham!
She had some mac-n-cheese and peas the other night for dinner.

We just heard from Emily and she is the PROUD winner of a rabbit! She won a rabbit tonight at the Franklin County Fair. She had to throw a ball in a cup while the cup floated in water and got it on the second try!!

9 Months Old!!
Well, we had our 9 month follow up yesterday. Brylee Taite is 17 lbs 8oz and 27.5 inches long. She is right in track with her development. She got one shot and while she was crying she sounded just like her Uncle E when he makes his Chewbacca sound. It was kinda funny to hear that because she never cries like that any other time. She was a real trooper and was fine in just a couple of minutes. Her next visit is Dec. 4th and she will be 1 year old! My little girl is growing so fast.
Guess I better start planning for her very 1st Birthday Party soon! I think it will be Backyardigan themed. She absolutely loves them. She gets so excited when she hears the intro song that she stops whatever she is doing and starts waving her hands in the air and talking along with them. She loves music in every form and has recently starting singing along with Pablo the Backyardigan. She listens to the CD in the car and has a little Pablo doll that goes with us and a singing Pablo for the floor. She loves them and can’t seem to get enough of them. It is precious.
Last night was her very first night to sleep without her Paci. She normally does not use it during the day, but likes to have it at nighttime. She did really well and only woke up twice wanting it. So say a little prayer that she continues like this.
Gramps is home and doing better. We sent some food over this morning for him to munch on. Pot roast, fried okra, beans, and cornbread. YUM YUM!
Have a great weekend! Love ya.

It's Been a While........
Well I know it has been a while, but we have been very busy keeping up with our little 9 month old. She is crawling and in to everything. She tries so hard to get away from us and get to the dog food bowl. Some days she just wants to put her hand in the water bowl and others she is ready to try out some dog food. Luckily we have gotten it away from her so far. She has banged her head on everything imaginable and is terrifying me. Here is her last little boo boo from the recliner at Mama’s. She was climbing up it and then appeared to be backing away when all of the sudden she just plowed right in to it. She just cried and cried.
Emily was with us this weekend and we went to watch Uncle Chance play football Friday night at Central. The girls really enjoyed the game and loved the band. We also went to the Chuck with Jen, Molly, Eric, and Grandma on Saturday. We all had a good time. Brylee decided to see how far back she could shove the crust down her throat and ended up gagging herself which about gave me a heart attack. So needless to say, she is no longer aloud to suck on the crust at the Chuck.
We headed to the park yesterday so Emily could ride her bike and Brylee could have a wagon ride. Emily was coming down the top of the hill on the nature trail and just barely missed two trees when her bike took an off road adventure. We can laugh about it now, but I tell you, I still don’t know how in the world she missed those trees.
My grandfather is in the hospital with kidney problems, so please keep him in your prayers. We headed up to see him after dropping Emily off. We visited with Gramps and Aunt Sherri for a little while and Aunt Sherri found it…
Brylee Taite Reese has her very first TOOTH!!!! YAY YAY – I am SOOOOOO excited! My little girl is growing up so fast. Who would have thought that a little tooth could become the highlight of your day! My girls are such a blessing!
We are also preparing for Lindy and Gregg’s wedding Sept. 27th and the first visit to hear the heartbeat on the 16th. Her life will be changed forever soon, and it is the best change in the world!
Please keep us in your prayers – Love Ya!

Spunkachewy
I wanted to start by letting you all know how Tiffany was doing. She has such a strong faith and seems to be doing as well as can be expected. She is surrounded by her family and friends and is truly blessed to have so many people there for her during her time of need. The service was the best I have ever been to by far, the preacher explained how Matthew was a precious gift sent from Heaven above. He went on to say that though we may have many questions as to the whys of a situation like this, but we should all feel blessed that we had the opportunity to have this precious gift no matter how short the time was. Because when God gives us a precious gift like a child, we are not promised a certain amount of time with that gift, but we should cherish it, make memories, and feel joyful for the time that we were able to share with such a wonderful blessing. I was very moved by the service as so many others were. It really makes you realize how short life is and how we should cherish each moment we have and all those that we are able to share it with. Please continue to pray for Tiffany and her family because I know I feel very blessed to have someone like her in my life and I am so thankful to know that I have a friend with such a wonderful faith around me.

We got Emily this weekend and as promised we went to Pet Smart to pick out a new hamster. Well Spunkachewy (aka Spunk) jumped right out towards Emily so we had to bring him home. She knew right away that he was the one! This little guy is nothing like Chewy Ricky Bobby, he is full of energy and is rarin' and ready to go. He is up all night and made himself right at home in the cage when he got here. Emily is so happy with him.
Now for the house update :(
We were putting the house on the market last Friday, but earlier in the week got the news of the Nissan buyout. Well, Brian went in to work and they were doing some layoffs and cutting back to one shift for the time being, as most of you know his company makes the frames for some of the Nissan vehicles. He is fine and will be heading to days on Monday, but the more we talked about it we decided now was probably not the best time to do anything. So we will plan to sit tight for a little while longer and see how things pan out.
AND NOW FOR SOME BIG NEWS...
LINDY AND GREGG ARE HAVING A BABY! That's right Emily and Brylee Taite will be getting a new little cousin in about 9 months!! We are all very excited. Lindy went to the Dr. today for confirmation and sure enough she is Prego. I am even more excited because she will be seeing Dr. Moore which is the Dr. that delivered Brylee Taite Reese!! She goes back to the Dr. in September so stay tuned for more updates. And please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they embark on this wonderful journey together.Saturday, August 2, 2008
