Baby Reese at 9 weeks

Below is an update of Baby Reese's progress at 9 weeks.

Your baby is nearly an inch long — barely the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce, but he's poised for rapid weight gain now that his basic physical structure is in place. His embryonic tail is completely gone, and the development of his body parts — including organs, muscles, and nerves — is kicking into gear. His eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. His upper lip is fully formed, and his mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. Your baby's sex organs are present now but won't be discernable as male or female for another few weeks.
It is just amazing to me that something so small has been making me so SICK! I just cannot get over that. I have had a pretty good weekend so far, thankfully. We did a little shopping and are preparing to make Emily's bedroom an underwater paradise. Hopefully we will get the painting done next weekend or shall I say Brian will get the painting finished. Then I can take over!! He spent the weekend staining the fence and boy does it look GREAT.

He is my SUPERMAN!

SHE'S HERE!!!

Anna Claire Pennington

4/26/2007

7 lbs. 5 oz.

20.5 inches

Ms. Anna Claire is finally here!!! Mother and daughter are doing GREAT!!! She is absolutely wonderful. She is so sweet and precious. I have been so sick lately that I did not get to be there for her arrival but left work a little early and made it this afternoon. I swear Murfreesboro has never seemed so far away. When I arrived she was in her Mommies arms just waiting for her Aunt Misty to arrive. Here she is in my arms doing what she did the entire time I held her. Man I cannot wait for her to come home. Robyn lives right beside my work, so I am thinking that will be a great place for my lunch breaks!

The Greatest Friends!

Well for those of you who do not know today marked the one year anniversary of my Granny's passing. I have been dreading this day coming so badly. I was very upset last night and today but I made it through thanks to the Greatest Friends in the WORLD!! I received phone calls, emails, and even flowers. I am so lucky and blessed! I wanted to just say Thanks again for brightening my day and always being there for me. Special thanks to Robyn and Tara for the beautiful flowers, Brenna for the wonderful e-card, and Lisa Prince for her caring words. You guys are wonderful and you will never know how much it means to me to have friends like you in my life. Thanks to my family for always being there. I love you all!

Patience is a Virtue...

Lilley patiently waits for Laney to look away or drop the bone before she takes it. She does this all the time. Laney will worry herself to death trying to get it from Lilley, but Lilley just sits back and waits. Love their hearts!!

We were busy this weekend planning Emily's Bowling Party for March 10th. Check your mailboxes for the invite, they are coming any day now. Hope you can make it!!

I'm Back...

OK - so I'm a Slacker Loser... Clam Down, just Clam Down!!

We finally got some snow a few days ago and man was it cold, but so nice. This was Lilley's first snow and she played and ate snow. She was so funny she was scared to go out when the snow was falling, but was proud as punch when the ground was white. She slipped on the deck while trying to paw at the snow. Man I love my Girls!

I was at Burger King a few weeks ago because my sisters class was collecting receipts for her classroom. And guess who pulled up in a Cadillac Escalade?????

Oh yeah, Little Richard. I was so shocked. He apparently has a place in Ross and his brother records with a teacher at Lindy's school and they always try to come and support her class. He was driving and covered in make-up and black lipstick. He was very nice and gave us an autographed picture and a book. I was so in shock I could not think of anything that he sings.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I then later found out the the place I have my hair colored at does his wigs for him. What a small world.

I had a special visit over the weekend that was long overdue and very welcomed. My friend Shannon, which was a bridesmaid in my wedding, moved to Illinois what seems like forever ago. Well, she came down to visit her parents since she was off for President's Day. So I went out with her and her precious daughter Emily Saturday. We had lunch at O'Charley's and then went to the mall. I just love Shannon and Emily so much and miss them terribly. She was so cute. We were eating and Shannon kept trying to get her to take her coat off and she would not. I asked her "How are you going to eat with your coat on? she replied "WITH MY HANDS!!" I love it. We got to the mall and I had to get her something. Here is a picture of her and the puppy purse I got her. The puppies name is Sweets, I even made sure that she allowed Sweets to go to the bathroom while we were shopping. She would go to plants and the racks and place Sweets down and make a PSSSSSS noise. It was great.

I received the BIGGEST Valentine bouquet out of everyone I work with. I was cracking up because all the women were being paged to the front lobby to pick up their bouquets and then I hear this loud chatter coming from the hallway. I look up and they are bringing me mine in awe of my wonderful flowers. I loved them they were so beautiful. I have a wonderful husband.

Other than all that we have all just been laying around. I am sure I will update more than I have been. Work is going good and a few of the girls I work with and I are joining Weight Watchers next week. I am very excited. Emily will be here this weekend so I will let you know what happens, something fun always comes with Emily.

Mama, Daddy, and Chance are heading to the Ukraine in July for a mission trip so please keep them in you thoughts as they prepare for the trip.

Oh, Laney and Lilley are fine, too. Just resting up.

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have been very busy lately. Removing Christmas decorations, Parties, working, and redecorating...
I have redone the bedroom, and LOVE IT!! Below is a picture of the new comforter that started it all.

Emily received a gift card to Wal-Mart from Grandma & Granddaddy. She had a hard time deciding what to use it on. She and I spent about two hours in the store. 1st she chose a Scooby Doo Chia pet, then she changed her mind. 2nd she chose a Scooby Doo hand held game that plugs into the TV. She was unsore of which one she really wanted so we kept them both in the buggie as we continued to browse. 3rd she chose a Barbie scooter. Tough decisions for a 6 year old. She has been wanting the Chia Pet forever so I just knew that would be her choice. Would you like to know what she chose???

Would you really like to know??? The picture says it all.

So if you really want to get on Emily's good side, she would love the Scooby Doo Chia Pet. She really had a tough decision and you could tell she was having a hard time, but she wanted the scooter because she knew that she could ride with her friends in the spring and summer. She also said that this way I could get a bike and we could ride. So, I am going to get a bike to ride with her. She really made a good choice and we are very proud of her. I know she will really enjoy it because now when she has friends over they will both have something to ride.

She is the best kid on the PLANET! So come check out the new bedroom and maybe you can scoot around with us. Brian has been riding on the Barbie Scooter. To request a copy of the video please snd your request in writing and I will get that right out to you.
